A chuisle mo chroí / Beat of my heart

This Irish phrase was popularised in the early 20th century song Macushla and has come to mean darling, but the original is beat or pulse of my heart - a very romantic gift. Words have been cherished in Ireland since the first lines were carved on Ogham stones and they are celebrated in the song, poetry and the art of everyday conversation.

After years in decline, the Irish language is experiencing a resurgence and its beauty can be seen in this award-winning design, originally carved by Adam Grabski. This piece, which is part of our Scríobh Range celebrating popular Irish words and phrases, is hand finished in iron with a limed white frame.

Dimensions: 8.5 x 11.5 inches (21.5 x 29cm)

This piece is a cast iron finish set in our white wood frame.
